Carter High School is proud to announce the jersey retirement of alumnus and current University of Tennessee Basketball standout, Jordan Bowden. December 19, 2019 at 7:45pm between the girls’ and boys’ basketball games against Sevier County.

 

Jordan Bowden, #3, played for the Hornets from 2011-2015. During his career at Carter HS he amassed 1,872 points scored, over 600 rebounds, 300 assists, and 200 steals. Jordan Bowden was instrumental on the Carter Runnin’ Hornets Back-to-Back Region 2AA Championship and State Tournament teams. Jordan Bowden was coached by Tony Buell in his freshmen and sophomore seasons and Joby Boydstone his Junior and Senior years. Bowden continues to be an ambassador for Carter High School and community while at the University of Tennessee, frequently appearing at school functions, visiting the campus,and representing the Hornets in his Carter jersey in press conferences. This is an amazing opportunity for our school to show our appreciation and for our school and community to recognize Jordan for his accomplishments and achievements.
